The first Monday of the New Year! Happy New Year Momtographers and deep and sincere thank you for all of your support and love in 2010! I have so much gratitude for so many things filling my heart as I go into this new year and so much of that is thanks to this community.

One of our newer moms/momtographer's wanted to share her adorable Lorelai with us this morning, and I am so grateful that she did. How CUTE is she, with her brand new smile! And nice catchlights mom! :) Keep snapping you are well on your way to being a rockin' Momtographer.

You know those days, when absolutely everything that can go wrong, does go wrong in mommy land? No naps, no smiles, no happy babies, just lots and lots of screaming, and baby unrest?! Yeah, I know you know what I'm talking about, and so does Momtographer Jennifer Tesker! She was having a supersized one of those days, until a little angel named oatmeal came into her life and for a brief moment in an otherwise grey day, everyone got to laugh! One of my favorite things about doing the Monday's Munchkin column other then all of the adorable faces that flood my inbox, are the awesome stories that go along with them! I just love hearing from you all, this IS PERSONAL! :)

Today's Munchkin comes to us from the road! Momtographer Michelle Hanks and her family spend their life driving across the country, and she documents everything (she has a self confessed obsession with her camera... our favorite kind of obsession), but her favorite subject is her beautiful daughter Olivia. Man, I bet her camera has some stories to tell. Thanks so much Michelle for sharing your story and beautiful daughter with us!

Spencer is a highly sought after NYC photographer, who spends his time shooting mostly the who's who of fabulous weddings in the city that doesn't sleep, so when he told us he would be willing to write an article for us we were over the moon! But we had no idea just how awesome his article would be. We are thrilled and honored to share with you, Shooting Wide to Tell A Story, some awesome concepts from the brilliant mind of Spencer Lum!

OK, I might be a little biased, but if this is the cutest red head I have ever seen! Biased, you ask? She's my niece, my only sister's only daughter, and yes I adore her! In the spirit of saying thanks, I wanted to dedicate this week's Monday's Munchkin, to my sister and my beautiful niece, who came into my life long before my own children, and inspired me to want to be the VERY best mom I could be. My sister is one of the most dedicated, amazing mothers I know, and it isn't hard to tell when you look at how amazing her daughter is! I am so thankful to have them in my life even if they are thousands of miles away. Thanks for being an awesome sister Carley, and giving me the best niece and aunty could ask for! I love you both!

Being a mom to an almost 4-year old myself, this picture struck me as particularly magical upon seeing it in my inbox. I often find myself staring at my daughter in amazement of where she is. I see the girl she is becoming, mixed with fleeting glimpses of the baby she once was. It's in her quiet moments when she stumbles upon some relic of her past babyness, that I can see she too sees herself as I do, not yet a big girl, no more a baby. Thanks to momtographer Veronica for sharing one of these in between moments of her beautiful daughter. She will cherish these images, I am sure of it!
